The Vagabond Cafe is your living room away from home. Owners Mike Morello and Aly Symmonds bring their vintage spirit to the West Village. With decor from the roaring 20's through the awesome 80's, recipes passed down from three generations and a comforting worn-in feel, the Village Cafe is back as it should be at the Vagabond.
It's the space to come and enjoy all the arts the Village is famous for; the best live music, comedy and writers and fully house-made panini, crepes, soups, and salads. Wash it all down with illy coffee, illy espresso and Dammann tea drinks, craft beer and fine wines. The Vagabond offers free WiFi (YES!!! finally free WiFi. why should you have to pay for it...? c'mon). Come relax with us.
Owner, Mike Morello (The Nerd), is a graduate of the Cornell Hotel School, has worked in and helped to launch many restaurants, bars and hotels (in New York and elsewhere) and is a well-known local NYC singer/songwriter. Check out his music, here. His dream is to entertain the world and talk to you about Star Wars, the Yankees and literature until you tell him to shut up. Aly Symmonds (The Boss) has worked in restaurants and cafes for most of her life and has a passion for feeding you... but who's counting calories? She's glad to play clarinet for you and bend your ear on all things Star Trek. Yes, somehow, Mike and Aly survive as Star Wars and Star Trek fans working together. Weird.
